ABOUT THE HOME
My home is located in Bluffdale, Utah. We currently have one extra bedroom available for a potential male client.
The bedroom available has access to the internet and a large closet. There is a large bathroom next to the bedroom, that will be your own.
The home sits on a large plot of land, so there’s lots of space to explore!
MEET THE PETS
Boris (our dog) is a male Border Collie/Poodle mix. He generally minds his own business with people he knows but loves cuddles and scratches. He is pretty apprehensive with strangers and will bark a lot until he is used to their company. He may seem intimidating at first, but he has never had issues with physical harm (never bites or hurts anyone). Again, he’s very sweet — just nervous with strangers.
The rats are inside their enclosure most of each day, and when I take them out they are either with me or on our bed.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL
I worked for a year as a caregiver. I would regularly travel to clients' homes to care for them. Much of my responsibility was to provide company and companionship to elderly clients. During the year that I was a caregiver, I worked closely with a client who had cerebral palsy. He was very independent mentally, and just needed help getting around. At times he needed emotional reassurance, but mostly enjoyed having someone to talk to and keep him company. I would love to create an environment that is a good fit for all of us!
A MESSAGE FROM TAYLOR
On our property, there is a warehouse that I and some other individuals use for work. On the weekdays, I spend anywhere from
four to eight hours working in the warehouse. 1-3 days out of the week, I travel elsewhere to participate in some gigs. These typically take place on the weekends. Although I have these responsibilities, I am fairly flexible on when I can take days off or breaks.
Caregiving is something that my girlfriend and I have done in the past and is something we both enjoy doing. We are passionate about providing excellent care and assisting individuals in achieving their goals. Independence and honesty are largely important to us. As we want to help individuals develop and grow in ways that they feel best fit their lives.
